#3: I have a new project in the works. Or, well, almost complete! It's called "The Fighter's Crystal." This is a sci-fi fantasy and adventure story that I've been working on for over 15 years. This is book 1 of 7 in "Inside the Gates of Darkness" series. I'm excited to get to tell you more information about it down below.

The Fighter's Crystal: Imagine a world where creatures are formed by energy. These creatures wreak havoc across the planet Colinia, and there needs to be people to stop them - like a Fighter. Someone who has the power to fight back against these creatures. This allows peace on the planet and for those living both on the surface and underground to live normally.
Underground, Cassidy tries to focus on her own life, studying in high school to get into college. Everything was going to plan, until she noticed someone following her. Then, she was attacked. Cassidy now not only has to maneuver a life she didn't want to live, but also face a rising threat that not only can impact the people of Colinia, but a threat that could end her life.
"The Fighter's Crystal" doesn't have a set date yet, but the book is close to being finished. We are at the end of the editing phases! I anticipate sometime this fall or possibly winter time for the book to come out. I am aiming for a fall release because I feel a Sci-Fi Fantasy book will do better in September compared to, like, January, but if the book needs more time it will come out later.
ALSO- little fun mini sneak peak thing: I have a made up language for this series. And history. And world structure (though the e-version of the world structure was lost to the computer breakage because I forgot to save it to a USB. But I remember it! And have some written in a notebook!)
The Depth of Reflection: Soooo... I lost the manuscript when my old computer broke. I can't place it anywhere else, so it's back on KU! Woot! That's all I have for this book.
The Portrait: I will be honest, I am not a fan of this book. I loved the idea of the book: a girl who realizes the life she has been living was all a lie. She has to not only find her family and get her kingdom back, but also rediscover who she was as a person. But I came to realize I am NOT a fan of writing in medieval time periods (even if the setting is on another planet!) Though it was fun to research elements of horseback riding!
I am a Sci-Fi Fantasy writer. I am not planning to write another book like "The Portrait" again... at least not anytime soon. Nor do I want to go back to this fictional world.
I will also be honest- I made a mistake and published the book too soon. I had the book re-edited and re-published months ago, but if you read the earlier version of the book when it came out in Janurary, I apoligize. I will do my best to make sure all future releases are much better edited and throughly read through before publication. Due to this, I decided to make "The Portrait" eBook free off my website. You can still purchase the physical book off Amazon if you like physical books.
OTHER THOUGHTS
I just want to tell stories. That is my passion. Ever since I was a child, I was a heavy daydreamer who would vanish into make believe worlds in her head loooong before I could even write. I want these stories out of my head so they won't get lost to my brain when the day comes and I am no longer here.
